Savvy Advisors FAQ
We serve clients across a broad spectrum, including wealthy families, business owners, executives, institutions, and endowments. We also work with younger high earning professionals just starting to secure their financial future. In general, our clients care deeply about their work and their wealth and are seeking a long-term professional advisory relationship built on trust and unbiased investment counsel. Many of our clients have had experience utilizing their own self management or a sales based advisor. Therefore, our clients prioritize having a fiduciary advisor with independent expertise and advice that is free from conflicts of interest.
A fee-only advisor is compensated exclusively by their clients and never earns commissions or incentives for recommending products. We believe that distinction matters: when an advisor has no financial stake in what you buy, the advice you receive is driven entirely by your goals, not theirs. It's the foundation of our true fiduciary relationship.*
*Marathon Wealth Advisors describes its advisory services as “fee-only” because it receives compensation solely from client-paid advisory fees. Advisors associated with Marathon Wealth Advisors evaluate both internal and external investment options and make recommendations based on what they believe is in the best interest of their clients. Savvy Advisors and its affiliates may receive additional forms of compensation related to certain investment solutions.
We monitor all client accounts internally on a daily basis and and intervals throughout the year. Typically, we’ll review your plan and portfolio together on a regular schedule and also whenever life changes occur (e.g., career changes, liquidity events, retirement, or family updates). Many clients meet a few times a year to review their portfolios, and separately we may have meetings which cover tax or financial planning. Our meeting frequency is customized to your needs and preferences, and meetings can include progress toward goals, portfolio positioning, risk management, and any recommended adjustments.
A high‑net‑worth focus means we’re equipped to address the complexity that often comes with larger or more intricate financial situations—such as concentrated equity, multiple account types, tax-aware investing, estate considerations, charitable planning, and coordinating across professional teams. The goal is to provide a clear, integrated strategy that supports your priorities and helps manage risk over time.
Every member of the Marathon Wealth Team brings a distinct perspective and depth of experience to our process of portfolio management, financial, and tax planning. We specialize in boutique and personalized service, unlike other firms with thousands of accounts and clients. We leverage our expertise to translate sophisticated financial concepts into approachable ideas that resonate with our clients. Our goal is to help clients understand their options and make confident, informed decisions about their financial future.
